Job Summary
The Transit Sales Account Executive is responsible for meeting and exceeding sales projections by selling transit advertising campaigns to qualified advertisers. Key responsibilities include prospecting new clients, making sales presentations, negotiating rates, and managing existing accounts. The role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in sales techniques, and effective relationship-building with local advertisers. A college degree in business or marketing and three years of B2B sales experience are required. A proven sales record, ability to cold call and establish rapport, and experience with advertising strategies are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record of sales-based relationships with local advertising clients and agencies
- Ability to competitively sell against other forms of advertising to include TV, radio, digital and OOH
- Excellent written, verbal and listening skills
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and CRM (Salesforce preferred)
- Persuasive selling skills and ability to work with urgency while maintaining customer service focus
- Ability to cold call businesses
- Valid Driver's License required
- Ability to meet a sales quota
